in this video i’m going to give you a<\/p>\n
quick look at this um<\/p>\n
magazine that kelsey media have put out<\/p>\n
in their british icon<\/p>\n
series on the xk8 and r<\/p>\n
kelsey media then they’ve put out this<\/p>\n
magazine<\/p>\n
these are the people that uh bring you<\/p>\n
jaguar world and classic jaguar and<\/p>\n
series of other<\/p>\n
magazines the basic creator series<\/p>\n
called british icons<\/p>\n
and the jaguars kate is featured in that<\/p>\n
the particular magazine it’s a one-off<\/p>\n
magazine it’s<\/p>\n
98 pages long built up<\/p>\n
out of 12 sections and i’m literally<\/p>\n
going to flick<\/p>\n
through the magazine to give you a feel<\/p>\n
for what’s the contents<\/p>\n
and uh to encourage you to buy it to be<\/p>\n
honest because if you’re an xk8<\/p>\n
enthusiast like myself<\/p>\n
love reading about the car and the<\/p>\n
history etc<\/p>\n

okay so literally i’m going to flick<\/p>\n
through the the whole magazine<\/p>\n
there’s lots of glossy pages um<\/p>\n
starting at the contents page you can<\/p>\n
see the 12<\/p>\n
sections or articles whatever you like<\/p>\n
to say<\/p>\n
detailing various aspects of the xk and<\/p>\n
comparisons with different models<\/p>\n
the first section then is x caked design<\/p>\n
history<\/p>\n
uh former jaguar designer nick hall<\/p>\n
looks at xk’s design gestation from<\/p>\n
early drawings<\/p>\n
through to its later updates then we<\/p>\n
have an early xk8<\/p>\n
and supposedly was a paris show but a<\/p>\n
bit dodgy that to be honest<\/p>\n
then we have the comparison with the uh<\/p>\n
the earlier xjs that uh<\/p>\n
it basically um replaced<\/p>\n
then we have a comparison at the end of<\/p>\n
that<\/p>\n
of the different performance<\/p>\n
this article then compares the what it<\/p>\n
calls the four different models<\/p>\n
available basically two engine options<\/p>\n
four liters four point two and<\/p>\n
convertible<\/p>\n
and coupe although there’s actually six<\/p>\n
if not an infinite number of<\/p>\n
different jaguar xkhz then we have blood<\/p>\n
brothers basically the<\/p>\n
comparison between the aston martin db7<\/p>\n
3.2 which is uh out just before it<\/p>\n
next section that is our article is<\/p>\n
silver star basically that’s the<\/p>\n
details of jaguar silverstone all the<\/p>\n
specs and the history<\/p>\n
then this future perfect is actually<\/p>\n
section basically detailing a guy<\/p>\n

what do you believe the car would have<\/p>\n
been if it carried on manufacturer after<\/p>\n
2006<\/p>\n
it’s a very nice looking car though very<\/p>\n
interesting um<\/p>\n
engine strut there the later<\/p>\n
xj allies on that car which make it look<\/p>\n
quite unusual<\/p>\n
then it has an article called size<\/p>\n
matters which compares it with the<\/p>\n
f-type<\/p>\n
which is interesting basically<\/p>\n
i think the not as much room is the<\/p>\n
basic conclusion of that article then we<\/p>\n
have<\/p>\n
rode king which basically uh somebody<\/p>\n
taking his<\/p>\n
xk out and the brecon beacons why not<\/p>\n
lovely scenery<\/p>\n
lovely roads then orange appeal<\/p>\n
is basically a track or a race<\/p>\n
xk8 that actually takes part in the uh<\/p>\n
club saloon and gt championships then<\/p>\n
towards the end there’s the xk8 survival<\/p>\n
guy which is particularly interesting if<\/p>\n
you’ve got an xk<\/p>\n
or you’re looking to buy one and<\/p>\n
interested in you’re cost of replacing<\/p>\n
various items when you do have problems<\/p>\n
if you’re unlucky enough to have<\/p>\n
problems but bear in mind that these<\/p>\n
cars are 20 25 years old so you’re gonna<\/p>\n
get them<\/p>\n
what was interesting was the common<\/p>\n
repairs<\/p>\n
uh the top six common repairs that one<\/p>\n
uh neem jag specialists but bro<\/p>\n
obviously<\/p>\n
corrosion front subframe mouse<\/p>\n
and you basically if you tick all six<\/p>\n
you’re doing well i could i think<\/p>\n
oh my god then finally we’ve got step<\/p>\n
forward which then reviews the<\/p>\n
outgoing xk to the new x150<\/p>\n
alum aluminium<\/p>\n
xk as you were so lots of<\/p>\n
lovely photographs very nice magazine<\/p>\n
very glossy good quality<\/p>\n
there you go that’s the magazine<\/p>\n
basically flick through colour to cover<\/p>\n
to cover<\/p>\n
i’ll say that’s the um<\/p>\n
the book number but i will show you how<\/p>\n
to<\/p>\n
get yourself a copy of the magazine at<\/p>\n

so there you go a bit of a summary you<\/p>\n
it’s uh<\/p>\n
it’s a really good guide got the design<\/p>\n
history the range detail<\/p>\n
concise buying guide limited editions<\/p>\n
and modified specials<\/p>\n
covers all the bases you know there’s<\/p>\n
quite quite lots of interesting reading<\/p>\n
if you want to get yourself a copy this<\/p>\n
