rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> one year later<\/p>\n<p>what do i think now<\/p>\n<p>so let me start this off by saying i<\/p>\n<p>really like the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> and i really enjoy<\/p>\n<p>all the benefits i&#x2019;ve been able to take<\/p>\n<p>away from having it and with that being<\/p>\n<p>said i probably think it&#x2019;s a great<\/p>\n<p>option for just about everybody right<\/p>\n<p>actually i think this is probably not a<\/p>\n<p>good option for most people i&#x2019;ll circle<\/p>\n<p>back to that but first after one year<\/p>\n<p>let&#x2019;s break this thing down<\/p>\n<p>first in case you&#x2019;re new to the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a><\/p>\n<p>what is it well it&#x2019;s the tool that&#x2019;s<\/p>\n<p>known to help you hack your metabolism<\/p>\n<p>and what it does is it uses a flow<\/p>\n<p>control and co2 meter to use that to<\/p>\n<p>understand if you&#x2019;re burning carbs or<\/p>\n<p>fat for fuel from there it provides<\/p>\n<p>guidance to help make your ability to<\/p>\n<p>switch between burning fats and carbs<\/p>\n<p>more efficient therefore making your<\/p>\n<p>weight loss or health journey easier and<\/p>\n<p>more successful because you can get away<\/p>\n<p>from being carb dependent in short it&#x2019;s<\/p>\n<p>a learning and training tool to help<\/p>\n<p>recalibrate your body for long-term<\/p>\n<p>health success<\/p>\n<p>ease of use when you get this are you<\/p>\n<p>going to jump right in and take<\/p>\n<p>advantage of it are you going to run<\/p>\n<p>into some problems well there is a<\/p>\n<p>little bit of a learning curve it&#x2019;s not<\/p>\n<p>a big deal don&#x2019;t worry but you have to<\/p>\n<p>learn how hard to start breathing into<\/p>\n<p>it when you start how hard to breathe<\/p>\n<p>throughout the duration of the breathe<\/p>\n<p>out how much to breathe in and it guides<\/p>\n<p>you through all this but it needs it to<\/p>\n<p>be in certain ranges so it can measure<\/p>\n<p>accurately and at first you don&#x2019;t really<\/p>\n<p>know what those amounts are you kind of<\/p>\n<p>breathe into it too hard at the<\/p>\n<p>beginning and then kind of fall out of<\/p>\n<p>the range it wants and it tells you to<\/p>\n<p>start over and this can be a little<\/p>\n<p>frustrating but after a very short while<\/p>\n<p>you learn these tricks and you become an<\/p>\n<p>expert at it and then you never run into<\/p>\n<p>it again just because you know what to<\/p>\n<p>do so small learning curve at the<\/p>\n<p>beginning not that big of a deal and<\/p>\n<p>then it&#x2019;s just smooth sailing after that<\/p>\n<p>so ease of use i&#x2019;m going to say is very<\/p>\n<p>high just a small learning curve<\/p>\n<p>[Music]<\/p>\n<p>accuracy for me i felt it&#x2019;s been pretty<\/p>\n<p>accurate now i do intermittent fasting<\/p>\n<p>so even if i had a bad meal the day<\/p>\n<p>before by time i do a <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> reading in<\/p>\n<p>the morning it&#x2019;s been quite a while<\/p>\n<p>since i&#x2019;ve had any calories and i&#x2019;ve<\/p>\n<p>burned up quite a bit of my carb stores<\/p>\n<p>and as a result i almost always get it<\/p>\n<p>too now if i was really bad the night<\/p>\n<p>before i might get a three and i have<\/p>\n<p>seen those i can also get ones they&#x2019;re<\/p>\n<p>rare but when i was really sticking to<\/p>\n<p>my diet really keeping my carbs low not<\/p>\n<p>cheating or having my intermittent<\/p>\n<p>fasting window go too late into the<\/p>\n<p>night i could earn a one i had to work<\/p>\n<p>for it that was motivational and i could<\/p>\n<p>reach that but it was harder to get to i<\/p>\n<p>generally see a lot of twos but what i<\/p>\n<p>would get did seem to reflect my day so<\/p>\n<p>it did seem to be pretty accurate and<\/p>\n<p>something i wish i&#x2019;d done a little more<\/p>\n<p>is take readings throughout the day i&#x2019;m<\/p>\n<p>big on intermittent fasting so i really<\/p>\n<p>want to see myself starting today with a<\/p>\n<p>two or one and that reflects on my<\/p>\n<p>previous day but also understanding what<\/p>\n<p>my meals are doing to me more in real<\/p>\n<p>time you know testing after meal or<\/p>\n<p>after a workout you can take<\/p>\n<p>measurements throughout the day and<\/p>\n<p>better understand the immediate impact<\/p>\n<p>and that can help teach you a lot about<\/p>\n<p>what you can do and the changes you can<\/p>\n<p>make with your diet and exercise and<\/p>\n<p>portions and all those different things<\/p>\n<p>so there is more than just a morning<\/p>\n<p>reading but as far as accuracy goes it<\/p>\n<p>has seemed to be pretty darn accurate<\/p>\n<p>for me<\/p>\n<p>now what would i like to see the<\/p>\n<p>aluminum proof on well i mentioned that<\/p>\n<p>i start a lot of the days at a two and<\/p>\n<p>this is great it means i&#x2019;m burning more<\/p>\n<p>fast than carbs so i&#x2019;m in a pretty good<\/p>\n<p>state but is this a high side of two<\/p>\n<p>closer to a three or the low side closer<\/p>\n<p>to a one i have no idea and that would<\/p>\n<p>be a huge difference because if i&#x2019;m<\/p>\n<p>closer to a one that&#x2019;s where i wanna be<\/p>\n<p>i&#x2019;m starting off my day burning mostly<\/p>\n<p>fats i know my diet choices are working<\/p>\n<p>for me but if it&#x2019;s close to that three<\/p>\n<p>i&#x2019;m not really burning that much more<\/p>\n<p>fat and i&#x2019;m not really starting the day<\/p>\n<p>in the state i want so a more granular<\/p>\n<p>view maybe a zero to 100 where it really<\/p>\n<p>gets you accurate information and you<\/p>\n<p>know hey i&#x2019;m really right where i want<\/p>\n<p>to be or i&#x2019;m at the high range of what<\/p>\n<p>used to be a 2 and i still have some<\/p>\n<p>work to do i need to make some changes i<\/p>\n<p>need to work harder on my diet or hold<\/p>\n<p>myself more accountable but these are<\/p>\n<p>the things you&#x2019;d be able to get out of<\/p>\n<p>that more granular information so i<\/p>\n<p>would love to see that and at its core<\/p>\n<p>the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> is a learning tool it helps<\/p>\n<p>you understand the impact of your<\/p>\n<p>previous decisions what is working for<\/p>\n<p>you and what&#x2019;s not and to have a better<\/p>\n<p>reading a more accurate reading that<\/p>\n<p>really gives you that granular<\/p>\n<p>information is going to help you make<\/p>\n<p>such better decisions so for me<\/p>\n<p>personally if they did that improvement<\/p>\n<p>it would just take it to the next level<\/p>\n<p>so i&#x2019;m hoping that something we see over<\/p>\n<p>time<\/p>\n<p>regardless of my concerns with the<\/p>\n<p>granularity of the readout the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> is<\/p>\n<p>still a very motivational and<\/p>\n<p>informational tool i enjoy tweaking<\/p>\n<p>everything about my lifestyle to try to<\/p>\n<p>get the results that i want and learning<\/p>\n<p>from that and that can be the things<\/p>\n<p>i&#x2019;ve already mentioned portion control<\/p>\n<p>what you eat how fast you eat the type<\/p>\n<p>of exercise you&#x2019;re doing and how much<\/p>\n<p>exercise you get and even the quantity<\/p>\n<p>and quality of sleep you get all these<\/p>\n<p>could play a huge role in your metabolic<\/p>\n<p>flexibility and the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> helps you<\/p>\n<p>understand the impacts of all these<\/p>\n<p>decisions so it becomes very enjoyable<\/p>\n<p>to understand the impacts of these<\/p>\n<p>things and continue improving on these<\/p>\n<p>so you can put yourself in a state that<\/p>\n<p>best works for you because not everybody<\/p>\n<p>responds to the same is the same so it<\/p>\n<p>becomes kind of a game of sorts to see<\/p>\n<p>what you can get out of this get the<\/p>\n<p>best numbers possible and see the<\/p>\n<p>changes you want because of what you&#x2019;ve<\/p>\n<p>been doing and this isn&#x2019;t just what you<\/p>\n<p>wake up to let&#x2019;s say after a meal you<\/p>\n<p>might get a five and you just spiked<\/p>\n<p>your sugar really hard well maybe you<\/p>\n<p>learned to make changes to that meal you<\/p>\n<p>change how you built that same meal<\/p>\n<p>whether it&#x2019;s portion control or removing<\/p>\n<p>a couple ingredients and now suddenly<\/p>\n<p>after that same meal you&#x2019;re only at a<\/p>\n<p>three or four you realize you&#x2019;ve made<\/p>\n<p>drastic improvements that help you reach<\/p>\n<p>your health goals and the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> is what<\/p>\n<p>helps you understand and realize these<\/p>\n<p>goals<\/p>\n<p>so i&#x2019;ll admit i mostly use the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> for<\/p>\n<p>the readouts you get from this thing and<\/p>\n<p>then i go on my own and do what i want<\/p>\n<p>to do and make changes that i want to<\/p>\n<p>make in my diet but inside the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> app<\/p>\n<p>there is a wealth of information so<\/p>\n<p>there are a lot of things even things<\/p>\n<p>that might seem backwards so for an<\/p>\n<p>example let&#x2019;s say you&#x2019;ve had a string of<\/p>\n<p>great days where you&#x2019;ve had low readings<\/p>\n<p>they might actually tell you to go have<\/p>\n<p>a high carb day to mix it up on your<\/p>\n<p>body and keep your metabolic flexibility<\/p>\n<p>high which is important they know some<\/p>\n<p>of these tricks you can do to put your<\/p>\n<p>body in a state where it can bounce<\/p>\n<p>between that burning of fat and carbs<\/p>\n<p>more efficiently and put yourself in a<\/p>\n<p>better state so there are things they<\/p>\n<p>offer they also have meal planning<\/p>\n<p>history of all your readings and a lot<\/p>\n<p>of different things that will just help<\/p>\n<p>you learn and make better decisions so<\/p>\n<p>it&#x2019;s worth checking out honestly i don&#x2019;t<\/p>\n<p>use it enough but it&#x2019;s out there and you<\/p>\n<p>should look into it<\/p>\n<p>so i mostly had good things to say about<\/p>\n<p>the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> so why the heck would i start<\/p>\n<p>this video by saying i don&#x2019;t think most<\/p>\n<p>people should get it well i don&#x2019;t want<\/p>\n<p>to waste your money the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> is a great<\/p>\n<p>tool but it offers a rather specific<\/p>\n<p>service and i think this is more of a<\/p>\n<p>final piece on your health journey than<\/p>\n<p>just getting started so if you&#x2019;re at<\/p>\n<p>this point where you&#x2019;re like i need to<\/p>\n<p>take back my health i don&#x2019;t think this<\/p>\n<p>is where i start this is not the tool i<\/p>\n<p>go like if i get this i&#x2019;m gonna be able<\/p>\n<p>to reach all my health goals this is the<\/p>\n<p>one thing i need there are things that<\/p>\n<p>you need to do on your own first things<\/p>\n<p>that don&#x2019;t cost any money things are<\/p>\n<p>just educating yourself and making<\/p>\n<p>better decisions and those things i<\/p>\n<p>already mentioned understanding your<\/p>\n<p>diet making better decisions with how<\/p>\n<p>much you eat the meals you choose how<\/p>\n<p>you build out those meals and the<\/p>\n<p>ingredients that you use making sure<\/p>\n<p>that you hold yourself accountable and<\/p>\n<p>stop eating considering things like<\/p>\n<p>intermittent fasting making sure your<\/p>\n<p>hydration is high and that you get good<\/p>\n<p>sleep and you&#x2019;re implementing a regular<\/p>\n<p>exercise routine these are all the<\/p>\n<p>foundations for better health and weight<\/p>\n<p>loss if that&#x2019;s your goal and once you&#x2019;ve<\/p>\n<p>implemented all those things you prove<\/p>\n<p>to yourself that you&#x2019;re gonna do the<\/p>\n<p>things it takes to have your health<\/p>\n<p>journey go in the direction that you<\/p>\n<p>want<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> could be that tool that takes you<\/p>\n<p>to the next level it could be that thing<\/p>\n<p>that says okay i&#x2019;ve got my diet in a<\/p>\n<p>good place but now let me learn what<\/p>\n<p>really works me and what doesn&#x2019;t and how<\/p>\n<p>i can just get to that next stage in my<\/p>\n<p>health journey to make better decisions<\/p>\n<p>and know this does work for me this<\/p>\n<p>doesn&#x2019;t now i&#x2019;m more informed so this is<\/p>\n<p>not a slam on <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> at all it&#x2019;s more<\/p>\n<p>about getting yourself right and proving<\/p>\n<p>to yourself that you&#x2019;re gonna put the<\/p>\n<p>work in that&#x2019;s needed so that way if you<\/p>\n<p>do get the <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthnutritiontips.com\/zh\/go\/lumen\/\" 1094 rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">lumen<\/a> you can actually
